These are currently two of the best selling netbooks in the market. In fact, they have been best sellers for quite a long time now. If you are in the market shopping around for a netbook, it may prove to be a difficult task to choose between these two.
There are significant differences between the Asus 1005HA and the Acer Aspire One when it comes to specs. To put it simply the Asus 1005HA netbook has more powerful specs. In fact it probably have the best set of specs that a netbook can have. The Asus model is powered by a 1.66Ghz processor, has 802.11b/g/n wi-fi connectivity and is also Bluetooth 2.1 ready. It also has a 10.1-inch LED back-lit screen that has a 1024 x 600 resolution.
As for the Acer Aspire One netbook, I would say that its biggest distinction lies in its design and pricing. Whether it is in terms of performance, specs or functionality, it comes up a little short of those on the Asus netbook. The Acer model however has a modes price tag, costing about $294 each. That's about $30-$40 cheaper than the Asus model. Many also seem to be taken with the design of the Acer netbook.
Another important thing to note is the battery life span of these two models. The Acer model can last up to 6.5 hours on one charge while the Asus can last up to 10.5 hours. With all taken into consideration, I personally feel that the Asus 1005HA netbook is a much better buy than the Acer mode. Nevertheless, if you just love the design of the Acer Aspire One or if you are really on a tight budget, it may prove to be a better buy.
