Closed Room is a room escape game, consisting of the usual controls. You tap on items around you, pick up some of them an interact with others. The goal in this game is to use your surroundings and your wits to solve numerous challenging puzzles and finally escape the room.

If you've played “Ellie,” you might be expecting some near-impossible puzzles in this game. While there are some difficult challenges here, don't worry. Closed Room is more straightforward, and the objects you find offer helpful tips as to their uses. There are many clues to find here, and this game will last you considerably longer than you would imagine for such a minimalistic room. The controls are also very intuitive and responsive, which is not always the case with free room escape games.

One thing I really appreciated was the little red laser dot that appears whenever you tap somewhere and there's nothing of importance. It lets you know that your tap registered. With so many other room escape games, it is unclear whether your tap registered or not, which can lead to much frustrated hyper-tapping.

There were a couple of things that bothered me in the game. One central puzzle has multiple parts to it and they all must be completed in one sitting, as the game won't save your progress for it. This can be very frustrating, as you can't take a break and come back later. So make sure you begin it when you have a good deal of time to spend on it. Also, the “Start” and “Continue” buttons are right on top of each other, and I accidentally restarted my game. I was never prompted to ask if I want to restart; it just did so anyway. So be very careful when you return to the game so as not to make the same mistake I did. But if you get past these few small issues, the game offers good, quality room escape fun for free!

If you're looking for a challenging room escape game with which to waste some time, look no further! This app even comes with both Closed Room 1 & 2!

If you're having some trouble with it, here are some tips:

1. If you're having trouble with the last part of the “tap-to-fill” puzzle, try starting from both ends and meeting in the middle. You want the top three pieces to be changed last.

2. Once you escape Room 1, don't delete the app! Go back to the main menu and you'll see a new option to select, Room 2.

3. In Room 2, think of time when you are trying to solve the code on the computer screen.

I hope that helps. Have fun escaping!
