This method of selling websites has become one of my favorite ways of making money online. Sure there is work involve, but it's not that hard and it's even quite fun doing it since you know with 100% certainty that you will make money. So how do you start website flipping? First step is to find a niche. I know a lot of people get stuck up in niche research. Do not overthink this step. Just go to eBay, amazon or ClickBank and find out what products are hot-sellers and go for any specific niche. You can also subscribe to NicheAday.com as they will send you a niche every day. They will give you a specific keyword to work on. Your next step would be to do a keyword research to expand on your niche. You can use the infamous Google keyword tool for this. Find related keywords that have a decent search every month (at least 1000 searches a month ). Pick 15-20 related keywords that met these criteria.
The Third step is also very important. You have to buy a keyword-rich domain name. This will add value to your sale and help with search engine ranking. So it is really vital to use one of your keywords for your domain name. Once you have registered a domain to cheap.com or any domain registration sites, the Fourth step would be to create your content site. Now if you do not have hosting yet, then you need to set up a hosting account. You can find a lot of cheap hosting in the internet. You can try HostGator or Bluehost. For your content site, you can get your template at oswd.org. Now once you have a template, it's time to start creating your content. What I normally do is create one article for each keyword. So if you have 15 keywords, then you need to write 15 articles with 350 to 500 words. Don't freak out if you are not a creative writer. Just do your research and find related articles to your niche and rewrite them in your own words. It doesn't need to be fancy. Straight to the point is always good. Now for the article, make sure your keyword can be found in the title or heading of the article and should be mentioned at least 3 times in the article and once in the opening paragraph and once in the heading.
Once you are done with the content, you can put your articles to your site. One article per page. The first page should have the article of the keyword in the domain name itself. I would also recommend that you put a link to an affiliate product related to your niche. That way you are also maximizing the profits for the buyer. Always put AdSense on the site as well for another profit stream.
Now get your site up and start selling on forums like digitalpoint.com or flippa.com. A site with unique content can sell anywhere from $200 to $300 per site. Just do your research first so you know how much your competitors are charging for the same. Needless to say, just rinse and repeat to multiply your income!
